Teach your child how not to be hurt by others

“Everyone Needs To Learn What To Do When They Are Hurt By Others”

Role Play Teaches Children How to Resolve Conflicts

Ask your child,“What are you going to do if someone hits you?”

Child can say,“No, that hurts” or “Stop Hitting me” or “No hitting”

Child may stay if no more hurtful behavior

If more aggression, child slowly walks away with a brave face

“Do not try to be friends with someone who keeps hurting you”

With frequent role play, your child will know what to do when hurt by others

When it is not clear who was hurtful first, spend time talking to both children about what they should do the next time
